Permission Post
SPOILERS FOR BIOSHOCK HERE. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
Atlas is a crafty man. As such, he likes to know everything about everyone he meets. Obviously, a lot of things are under encryption and he can't hack most things. In fact, he can probably only hack...50% of things (damn you future people!!). So, if most of your ~deep dark secrets~ are under a lock, then you're probably safe.
HOWEVER, he does have a way of finding things out. He doesn't care about the little things like your favorite color or your favorite food...but he does want to know the places you frequent, who your best friends are, what makes you angry, what your powers are, etc. Things that make you who you are. Why? Because he wants to use them to his advantage, of course!
Now, I know that he can't know everything and I don't want to step on anyone's toes. SO, here's this handy dandy permissions post for all of your needs.
This is an OPT-IN PERMISSION POST; if you don't comment here, then he will know NOTHING about your character besides their name and whatever he can gleam on the open network or on the street.
Example: Say you're Sam Merlotte. If there's no comment from Sam here, then Atlas can know that Sam owns Merlotte's, used to be a slave, lives with Edgeworth, and is a shifter. That's it.
If you're not comfortable letting Atlas know anything, then let me know. I'm totally fine with glossing over your character. No harm, no foul.
If you want to do some plotting, though, you need to fill this out so I know my boundaries with him.
What you need to fill out:
I also have some permissions when it comes to Atlas and his many secrets. Please read these too:
Atlas' Permissions
Can my character know that Atlas is a con? Ask me first. Do not assume, please.
Can my character know Atlas = Fontaine = Gorland? Again, ask me first. His plot hinges on his big con, so I would say no. BUT I am entirely willing to have him be revealed further down the line, so just ask me or check at a later date.
Can my character kill Atlas? Not yet, no. Eventually, I wouldn't mind if he was killed.
Can my character throw him in jail or get him in trouble? Again, not yet. But consequences will happen and they'll be pretty big for him, so I'm fully willing for him to go to jail. Ask again later!
Can my character be the one to reveal his big secret/plot? Ask when the plot gets a little further down the pike. I'd love for someone to reveal it, but again not yet.
That's a lot of "Not Yets". I know. This plot I want to do with him hinges on him being good at his con, and since he's juggling 3 different identities, covering his tracks, and using shapeshifting powers, he should be avoiding most people. Some will catch on that maybe Atlas isn't who he says he is. That's fine with me. But you need to ask permission.
Can my character find out that Fontaine/Gorland is a sleaze? Hell yeah. They're sleazy guys. Feel free to hate them or try to track them down. You might not find them, but feel free to be on the lookout for them.
But don't they look similar? Eh, not really. People saw both Fontaine AND Atlas and never cottoned on to who he was. The same will be true in SP. Their mannerisms are entirely different and he'll make every effort to look different enough, powers or not.
As always, feel free to PM this account or contact me if you have ANY questions, comments, or concerns. I'm open to feedback of all kinds and I'm open to making plot things work for everyone.

What CAN Atlas know about your character? Griffin plays his secrets close to the chest, but he is super easy to read. A con who knows how to read people could figure him out fairly easily. So Atlas can know just about anything about him.
What CAN'T he know? Nothing comes to mind.
Anything else? I want your bad romance.
